Messages from a Greeting Card

People call me a greeting card. They convey their best wishes, their sincerity, their love, their regards, and their various ways of greeting the New Year etc. to their near and dear ones by writing their notes on me. It is indeed regaling for me to be a part of such an amazing purpose. Sometimes, I wonder how lucky I have been to be utilised for such noble and grand reasons. Frankly speaking, it provides me with utmost mirth, because I spread the message of peace and goodwill to celebrate the New Year’s birth. I am indispensable, for sure. I feel very grateful to be a part of the New Year’s greetings, the tidings of joy, the messages of love, and so on and so forth. Most strikingly, I feel the oneness with everybody for spreading peace, smile, hope, happiness, optimism, and all other good qualities. I aim at ushering in a new era of light and bliss. However, during the recent times, people use their smartphones by ignoring me. Yes, it causes me plentiful pains indeed. I feel like I have been supplanted by those robotic elements. They lack life and love, whereas I lack luck. Nevertheless, none can deny the memories that I used to gift in the bygone days.

The Voice of a Mango

Being one of the juiciest fruits in the world, I consider myself to be lucky enough to win the hearts of everyone whoever has tasted me. It is indeed gratifying to know that I am often called to be the ‘King of all fruits’ in India/Bharat specifically. I lose every reason in such amazement. I can be of various types, not only in my appearance but also in my sweetness and taste, and my juiciness. Each and every person does enjoy me to his heart’s content. When it is blisteringly hot in summer, I try to cool down the inner restlessness of the people in no time with my soothing smell. Of course, right then, I am used in my green or young state. Most interestingly, I intoxicate the entire surrounding area with my sweet and alluring smell. I am a fruit of summer; however, the residents in my area keep on thinking about me almost all through the year. People wait for the next summer to come for the sake of relishing my great smell as well as my unique taste. I feel glad indeed, thinking that I, too, am a reason for people’s smile. People have forgotten to smile these days. Hence, it makes me feel blessed to play that role.
